Getting Cozy

With cooler temperatures moving in slowly, thin (but cozy) sweaters are my favorite thing to wear around this time of year. Unfortunately these temperatures sometimes bring out the monotone, dark and bland colors out of the closet. But recently I've been drawn to fun sweaters with bold and unique patterns rather than just solid colors or stripes. A few of  these are in my price range others are just a dream but they are all my current favorites!

Are you guys feeling these graphic sweaters or do you prefer sticking to solid colors?

A Birthday

On my birthday and I can say I am blessed to have another year of life. I'm thankful for so many things but especially my husband, family, friends and all of the amazing doors the Lord opened up for me this year. The list could go on but I wanted to make a short list of things I plan to change/add to my routine this year. One thing that I am sure of at this point in my life is that time waits for no one. Keeping that in mind this year I plan to use every minute God gives me to accomplish something, big or small.

  • Start exercising 3-4 times a week
  • Buy a property within the next year
  • Start my master’s program
  • Take a vacation to a place I’ve never been
  • Spend less, save more
  • Take an art class (painting, interior design, etc.)
  • Drink more water (lots more)
  • Read at least one book per month
  • Exercise a stricter hair and skin routine
  • Eat healthier
  • Use more organic products
  • Revamp my blog with a new design and layout

Fashion on Paper

Art in all its forms is always admirable but there's something extra fun and feminine about sketched or watercolored art. Besides just looking at these works of art they can also be printed and hung in your bedroom or bathroom walls, I also like to use them as wallpapers on my iPhone, another easy DIY is printing these out and make cards for friends and family. The options are endless.

Hope you all had an amazing weekend.

P.S. Can't believe my birthday is just a couple of days away!

J.Crew Peach lips

One of the things that immediately catches my attention when flipping through the J.Crew Style guide is the lipstick colors they use. From bright oranges and reds to peachy colors they always manage to draw me in. This time around however I found it impossible to find a gorgeous matte peach tone they used in the latest Style Guide and so I had to get a little creative. So last week I went into MAC and put together a color combination that comes close to what I was trying to find.

To get the look I used:

  • MAC Naked liner (all over lip)
  • MAC Mandarin lipstick
I kept everything else simple using a neutral mineral shimmery powder as eyeshadow, black liquid liner and a very natural cream blush (a new favorite by the way)!

Hope you guys like it!

Beauty Solutions

So as I mentioned last week my husband and I moved to Miami (we actually just arrived last night) and unfortunately part of that process involved having to also "relocate" and store my make-up in a small place that could be easily be moved around since we had an 11 hour drive to make. I kept my cosmetics, nail and hair products here but for now I rediscovered this metal make-up box and it has turned out to be quite efficient.

 Newest purchases:

Lip liners: MAC Half-red and Naked liner
Blushes: MAC Harmony and Rosy Outlook
Lipgloss: Revlon Bordeaux
Lipsticks: MAC Rebel and Mandarin
